HILLS OF THE ARTS
Every inch of Villa Altissimo’s walls cry out to tell their story. We heard what they had to say and developed the program, organization, spaces and aesthetics as a result of this dialogue.
The importance of the passage of time and the history of the place wish to be honored. In response, the project prioritizes the maximum preservation of buildings, restores the architecture from its current state, respectfully adapts to the characteristics of each of its spaces and does not generate significant changes in the existing architecture of the place.
Subtle modifications are created not to compete with what already resides there, but to humbly seek to accompany the existing in scale and aesthetic character. These modifications present a uniform architectural expression that gives unity to the entire project.
Hills of the Art’s program is divided into areas intended to offer three different unique experiences:

Sensory: South House (Reception and Art Gallery) and Plinth (Restaurant and Wellness Area)

Resting: Villa Altissimo Hotel

Artistic: Inside and on the Hill (art workshops, theater,
pods and artist cabains)
The connection point between these areas is the Central Plaza, located where the old water well resided.
The project relates with the creative process in which the artist is immersed, it becomes for them what space is to the place. The design generates lively architectural atmospheres that breathe life into new worlds.
COLINAS DE LAS ARTES
Cada centímetro de las paredes de Villa Altissimo grita para contar su historia. Escuchamos lo que tenían que decir y desarrollamos el programa, la organización, los espacios y la estética como resultado de este diálogo.
La importancia del paso del tiempo y la historia del lugar desean ser honrados. En respuesta, el proyecto prioriza la preservación máxima de los edificios, restaura la arquitectura de su estado actual, se adapta respetuosamente a las características de cada uno de sus espacios y no genera cambios significativos en la arquitectura existente del lugar.
Se crean modificaciones sutiles no para competir con lo que ya reside allí, sino para buscar humildemente acompañar el carácter estético y de escala existente. Estas modificaciones presentan una expresión arquitectónica uniforme que da unidad a todo el proyecto.
El programa Hills of the Art se divide en áreas destinadas a ofrecer tres experiencias únicas diferentes:

Sensorial: Casa del Sur (Recepción y Galería de Arte) y Plinto (Restaurante y Área de Bienestar)

Descanso: Hotel Villa Altissimo

Artístico: Inside and on the Hill (talleres de arte, teatro, vainas y cabañas de artistas)
El punto de conexión entre estas áreas es la Plaza Central, ubicada donde residía el antiguo pozo de agua.
El proyecto se relaciona con el proceso creativo en el que el artista está inmerso, se convierte para ellos en lo que el espacio es para el lugar. El diseño genera atmósferas arquitectónicas animadas que dan vida a nuevos mundos.
